What data we collect about your child

We collect only what is needed: a display name (not their real name), chosen avatar, age group (7–9 or 10–13), mission progress, XP points, and badges. We never collect email, phone, photos, location, or any other personal information from your child.

How we use it

Your child's data is used solely to personalise their learning experience and show you progress in the parent dashboard. We never sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as required to operate the platform (e.g. AWS for hosting).

Your rights as a parent

You may review, correct, or permanently delete all data about your child at any time via your parent dashboard or by emailing privacy@codequest.app. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

No advertising to children

We do not display advertisements to children or use behavioural tracking. The AI hint system uses Anthropic's Claude — no child data is stored by Anthropic beyond the immediate request.

Data storage

All data is stored on encrypted AWS servers in the United States (us-east-1). We will notify you within 72 hours of any data breach affecting your child's data.
